General anatomy
Meysters have two forms : feral and anthro. They can switch from one to the other at will, every Meyster has the ability to shapeshift from one form to the other freely. Of course, in anthro forms they commonly wear clothes!
Meysters generally have fur, the length of which may vary. They may have very long fur or no fur at all, or both! They can display several length of fur.
They come in all kinds of body shapes, there is no restriction in that regard.

Meysters can have hair, manes, horns, antlers, etc. These are common occurrences among the species! Shape/length/amount vary from individual to individual, there isn't any restriction in that regard. For example, they may have several sets of horns and a mane that goes all the way to the tip of the tail.
Meysters have forked tongues, any other shape/very long tongues are considered a mutation. |
The eyes
Of course, you were waiting for this! Meysters have a total of twelve eyes, this is their most prominent feature. They have three eyes on their head, one eye on each shoulder, an eye on the front of their front legs, an eye at the end of their tail and eyes on all four of their paw pads. In anthro form, they have an eye on the back of their hand and in the palm of said hands. Less or more eyes are considered mutations.
The eyes always have black sclera unless they have a mutation, but the shape of the pupil may be anything : all shapes and colors are allowed. All eyes are the same color unless they have a mutation. Eyes can be several colors as long as all twelve eyes have the same pattern. They may have a pupil that's a different color as well. They may lose eyes to injuries (note: this is not considered a mutation), although this is quite rare : their eyes are incredibly sturdy! They are protected by a glass-like material, if you touch a Meyster's eye it will feel like glass and won't hurt them. Obviously, their eyesight is incredibly developed. They have acute vision. Each set of eyes has a specific function. |
• The eyes on a Meyster's head work like ours, although more acute. They see the same colors as we do. The eye on the forehead may move independently from the other two.
• The eyes on their front legs help see moving targets more easily.
• The eyes on the shoulders help supervise what's around the Meyster, furthermore they may see much better in the dark than the other eyes. These eyes see in black and white however!
• The eyes under the sole of their paws allow them to detect heat. They are embedded / sunk into the pawpads and can not blink.
• The single eye at the tip of the tail is the most powerful of all : it can see further away, much like an eagle's eyes. It sees clearly in the dark and underwater as well.
